"I love you."
"I know."
If you are of a certain age, you are keenly aware of the origin of that little exchange. Okay, now it's time to be perfectly honest. I MAY HAVE slept with a Han Solo trading card under my pillow for several years in the early 80's. However, after this past weekend, I think it's pretty clear who holds ultimate uber-fan status, as Tom and his groomsman donned Star Wars themed boutonnieres. What character did Tom have? Yoda, of course.
I met Tom and Tara last year at a wedding in Florida we were shooting. The bride and groom were friends of ours, which always makes the experience THAT much better. At the rehearsal dinner we learned that Tom and Tara were engaged, and before you know it we were taking the Lakeshore Limited train to New York for a super glam and gritty engagement session.
We get Tom and Tara, and they get us. Recipe for FUN! They are both incredibly talented musicians and ooze creativity, and like to nerd out on bad TV and Sci-Fi. They are a tour de force of comic relief, always making each other laugh. Is it ever adorable be near such an exchange! Tom is a Clevelandphile of EPIC proportions. Though Tom and Tara currently live in NYC, Cleveland is obviously for lovers.
The wedding: seriously, folks, like NONE I'VE EVER SEEN. Glitter, sparkles, rockabilly hair, a sexy corseted dress, lighters, karaoke, all around amazingness. Tara put so much effort into the DIY, and it was a perfect compliment to The House of Blues eclectic space. Major kudos to Tara's dad for constructing two enormous T's to serve as a backdrop for the wedding and performances! I also love that Tara's mom was in her bridal party. What a goddess in her one shoulder sparkle filled number. A stone cold silver fox!
Tara and Tom, we love you guys. There are SOOOO many photos to come. Barely scratching the surface here!
